Video Exhibitions and Screenings

Advanced Arts is excited to announce some exciting news regarding our young filmmakers. 

Our student Salvador Salazar won a 2018 Regional Scholastic Art & Writing Award, a Gold Key for his video titled "I am Not Batman."  Also Kalina Gac won numerous honors at the same Awards Ceremony, including a Gold Key for "Bleeding Clear", 2 Silver Keys for "Queen Anne's Lace" and "Rain That Leaves a Fever", and 2 Honorable Mentions for "Fruit Biting Back" and "Kissing Myself in the Mirror", and another Honorable Mention for her overall portfolio titled "Experimentation in Scans."

Kayla Sullers received second place for her short film "Black Chi Youth" at the Black Creativity Exhibition held at the Museum of Science and Industry.

Salvador Salazar also got three films accepted into the All City Arts Exhibition opening on March 21st from 6pm-8pm.

And last but not least Gallery 37's Advanced Arts program is proud to announce our student Andres Aurelio has been accepted into the CineYouth Film Festival at the Music Box Theater!  His film "Pilsen" will be screened on April 21st at 5:30 pm at the Music Box Theater!
