Damien Dimas is a product of Texas and Chicago music education. Damien began cutting his teeth in Chicago Blues jams at the age of 17. By 19, Damien served as a Marine musician, playing euphonium and guitar for the United States Marine Corps Band in Quantico, VA. In his duties as a musician for the Marines, he performed for dignitaries and various performing artists, marched in Washington, D.C., and travelled the eastern seaboard. Upon his honorable discharge, Damien completed his degree in Music Education at NEIU, while hosting open mics and jams around the city. Prior to his tenure in Chicago, Damien served as department chair for Fine Arts at Thomas Jefferson High School, facilitated teacher trainings, and gigged in the North Texas area. Currently, Damien is the Chair of the department of Fine Arts at Sullivan High School, while directing the music program.
